Our team of engineers all have wide-ranging experience in the design, development and validation of automotive systems. CAD tools further strengthen our automotive engineering capability, making use of CATIA and Solidworks as core design tools for the mechanical aspects. To enhance our design capabilities, our engineers extensively use these tools to provide:

• Package Studies and DFA Analysis
• Finite Element Analysis

The development processes, whilst following a phased gateway approach, would consider a benchmark study to understand potential competitors, IP, USP, and feasibility of the product in question. Subsequent areas of the design would be to consider using tools such as DFMEA and highlighting:

• Packaging, form and fit for the specific vehicle.
• Noise; operational and static.
• Functional strength, the load applied to the device, and its surroundings, during normal driving and whilst being used.
• Abuse – ingress/egress. The desire to use your surroundings as handles and support must be considered.
• Safety - comply to regulatory requirements and customer specific levels.
• Ergonomics - access, functional location, adjustability.
• Styling - can customer aesthetics be met with the materials and form needed to meet specifications.

In conjunction with our software development partners we can integrate applications into our electronic devices which enable customers to make full use of BYOD or the built-in vehicle systems.
